While many players have enjoyed their time with Halo Infinite, there have been a number of ongoing technical issues that have impacted gameplay. One of the most prominent of which is the desync issues in Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. However, one of the most recent complaints is on the aesthetic side of things, with one of the armor pieces outright missing a texture.

Over on Reddit, a user named Jetsflighter pointed out that the Grenadier armor set, modeled after the character Jorge in Halo Reach, is missing a texture on the left shoulder pad. It likely wouldn’t be as noticeable if it wasn’t such a prominent piece of armor, and the fact that every other piece of armor is properly textured makes this stand out quite a bit.
Admittedly, compared to a lot of the other technical issues in Halo Infinite, this one seems somewhat easier to fix. Issues like desync and the problem with tracking challenges in Halo Infinite would likely take precedent over fixing a missing texture. Even so, it’s still something that should be ultimately addressed, especially since the overwhelming majority of armor sets don’t have this problem.
It’s fascinating to see how video game fans react to missing or bizarre texture issues. Following the recent release of the Mario Kart 8 DLC, Mario Kart fans became deeply upset with the grass texture compared to how it was in the original 2014 version of the course. Some members of the gaming community could see these complaints as nitpicking, but it ultimately depends on how noticeable it is.
In any case, this issue with the Grenadier shoulder pad should hopefully be fixed in due time. Either way, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Halo Infinite going forward. There’s a lot of upcoming content for the game that has yet to be released, such as Halo Infinite’s version of Forge mode. Although, there still hasn’t been any indication as to when that will release.
Halo Infinite is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
