One of the most significant modes that have been introduced for season two is King Of The Hill mode which pits two teams against each other, with the objective being both teams need to control a point in order to score. Unlike the modes like Team Slayer, King Of The Hill requires strategy because kills don’t matter when scoring but rather when players play the objective. These tips should help players new and old master this mode and help players strategize better and in turn win more efficiently.

5 Don’t Solo

This tip is pretty much universal to most other modes but specifically, the objective-based ones like Capture The Flag, because if players have left alone the enemy team can catch them much easier without any resistance. When players are able to be together for the majority of the match in Halo Infinite players then they can fight better and live longer, plus if all players are in the point longer, defending because much easier and allows everyone on the team to be calmer when fighting.

The good thing about Halo Infinite’s team aspect is that it can be rewarding provided it’s done right because if players are holding a position with their team then maintaining that point is much more tangible and easier to do. Plus when all players are together each player can be providing some sort of assistance to another player which can turn the course of the match instantly. However, if players run solo for most of the match they will meet some challenges because most of the time players are with the rest of the team and would be making quick work of those solo players, so it’s always a good idea to stay with the team.

4 Be Aggressive

One of the many reasons why Halo Infinite is a great game for many players is that it’s a rather diverse game, one mode will play differently than the other which allows players to try new things and keep things fresh. So this tip would work in most modes offered in Halo Infinite, provided players know the consequences of being overly aggressive, so balancing it out should help fight off the enemy better. Unlike most objective-based modes which make the case that players to be safer and cautious when fighting, King Of The Hill plays the opposite to some degree, while players should be alert at all times but being overly aggressive when defending is the name of the game.

Because when players are aggressive in this mode, they can act like a wall which makes it harder for the enemy squad to break the capture. However, players should still be cautious because enemies could be coming from all angles which will make players just as alert because they’re already fighting with more pressure and that pressure will help capture the point faster.

3 Roleplaying

This tip is good for the objective-based games in Halo Infinite because each player is doing something that helps the team capture the point faster and much like the rest of the modes, this tip offers great balancing because not every player needs to be on the attack at all times. With this, players could be busy doing something that helps the team overall because if players are attacking and running to the next point, then winning comes much easier. On top of that, if players are diversifying their task then each player creates a machine with each moving part that helps getting and capturing points more fluid.

When players are doing something in sync with another player then everything falls into place, players will be able to move from point to point with ease and that will keep the enemy on their toes. This tip works best with a lot of the other tips mentioned so far because helps make the gameplay a lot more digestible and easier to do because players are doing something which may not seem like a huge thing to them but overall, provided it’s been done right, it leads to the team’s victory.

2 Grenades

Grenades play a crucial part in Halo Infinite because they can damage or take out multiple enemies with one grenade toss, this tip needs to be included because it does play an important role in King Of The Hill since both new and old players forget that they have them equipped that they can use them at the same time. Having these on at all times is great for the player and their team because most of the time in King Of The Hill players will be in close contact since most of the maps in Halo Infinite force players into proximity with each other by throwing a grenade in the mix makes things easier.

Plus if players know how to switch between the different types of grenades that are offered during each match, then they can become an issue since they can do a lot of damage. On top of that, these grenades offer great breathing room for the team because there are times when King Of The Hill becomes super overwhelming and these grenades give players time to realign themselves or to get distance. However, players should use them sparingly because once they run out, they’ll need to go out into the map and find them, this would be a great time for the enemy player or team to get a drop on the lone player.

1 Always Communicate

In Halo Infinite most, if not all game modes emphasize communication and that tip helps in the other modes a lot because it helps players understand the situation where the enemy is and help set up a plan. King Of The Hill plays the same way, players can point where the next point and call out enemies and where they are, so it does help a lot, this aspect works well if players increase the field of vision (FOV) which helps them see more, like around corners.

This can become helpful when the enemy is sneaking up on them, plus when players are able to see the enemy before they can see the player taking them out, and capturing the point is rather easy. This advice works in tandem with the other tips and helps bring everything together, players can call out where the position they want to play, is and where the next point is. In all cases talking with the team goes a long way and helps bring all players on the team on the same page which makes things easier for the players. Half of Halo Infinite is fighting, and the other half is talking and creating a plan and when players put everything together in King Of The Hill, winning becomes much easier.
