A video of Halo Infinite player Bullet2thehead9’s version of Skyrim’s Whiterun in Halo Infinite recently went viral on social media, garnering over one million views on a Twitter repost alone. Since Skyrim was released in 2011, Bethesda fans have been completing various tasks in Whiterun after arriving there with word from Helgen about the dragon attack that takes place in the game’s early moments. Although many Skyrim fans have seen enough of Whiterun over the course of multiple re-releases of the RPG, Bullet2thehead9 may not be able to get enough of it with their Halo Infinite interpretation having impressive attention to detail.

The clip highlighting Bullet2thehead9’s Whiterun in Halo Infinite Forge begins with the player facing the Skyrim statue of Talos located at the bottom of the stairs that lead to Dragonsreach. The Halo Infinite player then pans the camera to face the head of the statue and the tip of the entrance to Dragonshrine while equipped with a pistol which is something that would be abnormal in the Bethesda RPG which focuses on weapons like staves and swords. The player then turns to face the waterfall coming down from Dragonsreach and walks towards the staircase before turning around and highlighting the surrounding buildings and central Gildergreen tree.
The water effects that flow throughout the city show some graphical improvements made with Halo Infinite that may look different to Skyrim players that haven’t modded their save files. Aiming their Halo Infinite pistol to spotlight other Whiterun details, Bullet2thehead9 then shows the Companion hall, the inn and market area, Breezehome and the house behind it, and finally one of the viewpoints along the wall that surrounds the settlement. Looking out into a Halo Infinite Forge environment, Bullet2thehead9 also shows the attention to detail outside of Skyrim’s Whiterun which features shrubs, trees, and a mountainous landscape in the distance that resembles the ranges that culminate with High Hrothgar.
Though it looks remarkably similar to Skyrim’s Whiterun, Bullet2thehead9’s Halo Infinite Forge creation has some level pieces that give away the fact that it’s a replica beyond the Spartan pistol in the player’s hands. Nevertheless, it is an incredible accomplishment. Because there are still many more Skyrim cities for Bullet2thehead9 to recreate, this Halo Infinite Forge user may have even more projects to come in the future if they continue to play with the available tools.
Halo Infinite is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
