They were looking fine headed into the bottom of the ninth inning with the score tied 4-4. Hansel Robles returned to the mound after entering the game in the bottom of the eighth. He got off to a bad start in the ninth by hitting Jonathan Lucroy with a pitch.

OK, not good, but there was time to recover. Pat Valaika laid down a sacrifice bunt to move Lucroy to second. Robles intentionally walked Charlie Blackmon and accidentally walked DJ LeMahieu. So, bases loaded thanks to a hit by pitch and two walks. How does Robles get out of this jam?
By getting to a 3-2 count and proceeding to throw the baseball to the moon, ending the game in a walkoff walk.
So to wrap up the bottom of the ninth for Robles: Hit a batter, walked three straight and ended the game on an airmailed pitch to the backstop.
Afterward, it was revealed Robles had “numbness” in his fingers, and, well, some other problems.
Suffice to say, it wasn’t Robles’ day.
