French’s departure is the latest in a long series of key developers leaving 343 Industries in the past few months. After Halo Infinite revealed its roadmap for the winter update and Season 3 last September, several employees of 343 Industries parted ways with the company. Bonnie Ross, head of 343 Industries and co-founder of the studio, stepped down from her position two weeks after the reveal of this roadmap followed by David Berger, the lead developer for Halo Infinite’s Slipspace Engine, three days later....

Blinken also said he would make sure none of the aid reaches Hamas, which opposes Israel’s right to exist. Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar told journalists that the group welcomed the reconstruction support, as long as it did not come from Israel, and had no objections to not touching the aid. “I emphasize our commitment in Hamas that we will not take a single penny embarked for rebuilding or humanitarian issues,” Sinwar told AP....

Ferrari have embarked upon a major redesign of their car after struggles in pre-season testing, with Charles Leclerc saying he is “99 per cent certain” they will struggle more than they did last year. The team’s early surge isn’t Azaria’s only reason for joy this spring, though. The Mets being in first place also happens to coincide with the run-up to the second season of Azaria’s show “Brockmire,” the edgy IFC comedy he created and stars in as title character Jim Brockmire, a post-breakdown baseball announcer. The royal spoke with recipients of the WellChild Awards and their families after his attendance at the annual prize-giving ceremony was canceled in September owing to the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Harry has been patron of WellChild since 2007 and the organization celebrates the stories, struggles and achievements of sick children and those who support them. One honoree Harry spoke to was 13-year-old Isabelle Delaney who was joined on screen by Hope, her labradoodle who is being trained as a service dog....

The datamine comes via Halo Infinite’s new “Fiesta” multiplayer playlist, part of its first Fractures event. Dataminers managed to discover and access five different weapon variants for Halo Infinite, all of which can be accessed by players via custom game settings. It’s unclear if, when, or how 343 plans to officially introduce these weapon variants into Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, or if they’re simply carrying over from usage in Halo Infinite’s campaign....

It’s not too strange, then, that someone managed to discover a cut Halo Infinite enemy as well. A massive, imposing monster, the aptly-named Crusher was a dedicated close-quarters combatant that would throw Master Chief around like he was nothing, but according to Rebs Gaming, the leaker responsible for this information, the Crusher’s proficiency in combat was what got the creature cut from the game in the first place. There are a number of new weapons available in Halo Infinite, and one of the most well-known ones is the Ravager. In its default three-round burst mode, the Ravager is generally agreed to be a pretty bad choice, but the weapon has another feature. In the past, the introduction of new main characters has been met with a mixed response from fans (particularly new Spartans like Locke and his team). But with Halo Infinite’s much more stripped-back approach to storytelling compared to its predecessor, the focus on new characters like the Pilot and the Cortana-like AI the Weapon really help to add something to the narrative, as well as to Master Chief’s characterization. With a much simpler story and premise, Halo Infinite focuses on the relationships between characters and brings a very welcome helping of humanity and humor to the game....

Attrition was added as the headlining mode for Halo Infinite’s Cyber Showdown event; the third such limited-time event since the game launched last year. Cyber Showdown is something of a blend between the prior Fracture: Tenrai and Winter Contingency events, as it will only be available through February 1 but only offers rewards to players who complete associated weekly challenges. While Fracture: Tenrai included a Fiesta playlist familiar to long-time fans, the new Attrition mode feels like a unique test for battle royale mechanics in shorter matches....

When it first launched, Halo Infinite was missing a number of expected features and modes that had appeared across numerous entries in the Halo series. This included Forge mode, co-op mode for Halo Infinite’s campaign, and additional multiplayer modes that were also present in previous installments, such as King of the Hill.
